Chapter 7, Toure argues that the potential of a Black person’s success in corporate and professional America is heavily limited by the extend of how comfortable he or she can make the whites around their lives. Blacks must learn to continually assure the white dominated professional fields that they’re of no threat in order to be invited to executive ranks.

- His argument is very identical to the social realities of colonial slaves. Those who made the owners comfortable were given more privileges. Those with lighter skinned were considered in a higher class as those with darker skin.
